WELCOME
The Herd @ iYadi may very well be the only non-profit, non-riding 'forever-home' for injured, rescued and retired equines in South Africa, maybe even in the whole of Africa where human interaction is on their terms and where they live a 'wild & carefree life'
The Herd @ iYadi has a 'Right-to-Life' policy, which means that no equine is put to sleep unless they are suffering and it is in their best interest to humanely do so
The Herd @iYadi seeks to promote equine welfare and well-being
The Herd @ iYadi relies on the generosity of all those who identify with and partner, sponsor, donate and volunteer their time and resources to make this possible
FOCI of THE HERD

Provide a Forever Home for injured, rescued and retired polo ponies and other equines who are members of their herd

Partner with the equine community in support of welfare and well-being

Advocate social change for equines in general

'Spending-Time'; provide an environment where humans and ponies may interact in a reciprocally respectful space to support mental health and well-being

Community Engagement; facilitate a space for those who would otherwise not have the opportunity to engage with equines
